SES ASTRA operates the ASTRA Satellite System, offering a comprehensive portfolio of broadcast and broadband solutions for customers in Europe and beyond. ASTRA broadcasts television and radio programmes directly to millions of homes, and provides internet access and network services to governments, large corporations, small- to medium-sized enterprises and individual households.
ASTRA is headquartered in Betzdorf, Luxembourg, from where the company conducts centralised functions such as spacecraft and payload operations, 24x7 technical assistance and corporate activities. In addition, affiliate offices in key markets in Europe provide local sales and marketing support.
ASTRA is part of SES, a group of satellite operators and network providers which, combined, offers global reach.
My responsibilities include:
• creation of pre-selling campaigns for new satellite capacity (ASTRA 3B launch, blog)
• e-marketing (prepare project plans, coordinate content creation and deliver analysis reports for emailing campaign)
• support event manager for customers events/exhibitions
• support brand development across: Web, AV, Events, Collateral and Presentations toolkit
• coordination of the different projects with our agencies (copywriter/advertising)
• coordination of projects with the affiliates (11 offices in Europe)
• creation and implementation of a measurement process for marketing activities across the regions
2006 - 2008Marketing Communication
• Organize and manage worldwide trade shows (IBC in Amsterdam, Broadband World Forum in Berlin and Paris, Cable Congress in Madrid and CES in Las Vegas)
• Create the new intranet for Philips Set-Top Boxes Division, to improve communication, and provide easy access to information for more than 300 people
• Create marketing brochures
• Work on a new internet project to merge Home Networks websites
Market Intelligence
• Study qualitative panels to validate or reject new concepts
• Participate in Value Proposition Group, to submit two new product concepts for programming
• Work on benchmark to find new applications to integrate within Philips/Pace Set-Top Boxes (UI, EPG, Blu-Ray)
• Participate in workshop for the definition of new user interface for digital device
• Work on Market studies
