En résumé

I’m currently a PhD student at the Luxembourg Institute of Sciences and Technology (LIST) in the Department of « Materials and Research Technology » in the Nano-
Enabled Medicine and Cosmetics Group (NEMC). The Subject of my thesis is « Small and Smart Theragnostic Protocells Synthesis (SSTPsS) ». I carried out my second year of my Master Degree in “Innovative Formulation Technologies” in Angers.
As my master’s degree internship was done at the LIST , I am continuing my work on mesoporous silica nanoparticles. In fact, throughout my project, I was able to optimize the synthesis of mesoporous silica nanoparticles with and without a magnetic core. To increase the "biocompatible" nature of nanoparticles, I contributed to the development of a method for coating the particle with a lipid bilayer. Nano-objects and products will subsequently be issuing an active principle referred to as theragnostic. The project Nano4med will ultimately provide new therapeutic solutions in different fields such as oncology or cardiology.

My numerous courses associated with my experience at the LIST, has helped me improve my scientific knowledge’s, carry out literature searches, to familiarize myself with the world of research and learn teamwork. I also mastered most of the techniques of nanoparticles formulation (capsule or sphere) and liposomes, and their physico- chemical characterization with the Nanosizer NANOSIGHT® and Zetasizer Nano Malvern® , TEM, SEM or spectral methods, such as Ray Diffraction or X and UV fluorescence spectrometer. With my PhD, I improve my oral and spoken English during different conferences and workshops in my field. This experience will increase my knowledge in the nanomedicine area and become known in the researcher environment.

From the experience of my Master Degree, I have a lot of knowledge in different fields such as physicochemistry, formulation of nanodrugs, galenic (Formulation), physics, project management and English courses. With my different laboratory training, I have a strong theoretical base and practical expertise in the fields of synthesis, formulation, characterization, and analysis of nanodrugs such as liposomes, polymeric or mesoporous silicate nanoparticles.
I am motivated, dynamic, rigorous, responsible, have insight and I think I have the skills and experience required to carry out research in my thesis. Wishing to become a researcher, thanks to the access to the knowledge imparted by my PhD supervisor and my scientific advisors, a PhD will give me this opportunity. In addition, I would like to help with this project, learn additional skills, and thus implement the theory and practice that was given to me during the years of my master degree and during my internship.
